Westridge HR Professionals is supporting a long-standing organization in Toronto’s St. Clair West community in hiring a Bookkeeper due to an internal transition. What You’ll Do

Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Post transactions, reconcile general and subsidiary accounts, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding items.
Cash Flow Monitoring: Track, analyze, and forecast cash flow to support financial decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring reports, identify variances, and highlight trends.
Audit & Tax Preparation: Assemble documentation for audits and support tax filing activities.
Inventory & Purchasing Integration: Work within systems connected to inventory tracking and purchase order functions.
Policy and Procedure Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal financial processes.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and external partners to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
General Support: Assist with additional administrative or financial tasks as needed to support smooth operations.

What You Bring

College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA designation is an asset but not required
Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience; small business or product-based experience preferred
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop Pro and Online) and Microsoft Excel
Experience with inventory and purchase order systems is a strong asset
High accuracy, strong organization, and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
Positive, adaptable approach to supporting day-to-day operations
