TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Niagara-based manufacturing client, is seeking a Maintenance Manager.
Role Overview: In the role of Maintenance Manager, you will manage all aspects of maintenance with a focus on safety and efficiency. Your role will encompass preventative maintenance, production improvement, personnel management, budget management and optimizing equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and maintain the preventive maintenance program to maximize equipment productivity.
Lead the maintenance staff through mentoring and coaching, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment.
Efficiently manage and orchestrate the scheduling of maintenance department tasks, ensuring optimal productivity
Share your technical knowledge to assist with refining maintenance techniques, training, and enhancing production improvement initiatives.
Initiate cost-saving initiatives, investigate improved methods, and evaluate new equipment.
Contribute to maintenance and capital expenditure budgets and exercise control over these expenditures.
Ensure Health and Safety remains a priority and all policies are followed.
Assess equipment performance to determine maintenance priorities and activities.
Investigate equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of practical maintenance experience, with a preference for candidates possessing an engineering background, particularly in Electrical or Mechanical fields.
Strong computer aptitude, including proficiency in database management and working with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and concise interactions with team members and stakeholders.
