TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Hamilton-based Manufacturing client, is seeking a Safety Manager.
Position Overview: As the Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures within our manufacturing plant. You will collaborate with various departments to create and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and execute safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Train employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and proper equipment usage.
Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
Maintain and update safety documentation, records, and reports as required by regulatory agencies.
Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
Your progressive experience includes:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Safety Manager or in within a manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
