Safety Manager

TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Hamilton-based Manufacturing client, is seeking a Safety Manager.

Position Overview:

As the Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures within our manufacturing plant. You will collaborate with various departments to create and maintain a safe work environment.


Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Train employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and proper equipment usage.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, records, and reports as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.

Your progressive experience includes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Safety Manager or in within a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
