Payroll Manager

TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Hamilton-based Manufacturing client, is seeking a Payroll Manager.

Position Overview:

As the Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures within our manufacturing plant. You will collaborate with various departments to create and maintain a safe work environment.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage and supervise the payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Review and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related discrepancies and provide necessary reports.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
Your progressive experience includes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
