TreowGroup Recruitment, on behalf of our Hamilton-based Manufacturing client, is seeking a Payroll Manager.
Position Overview: As the Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures within our manufacturing plant. You will collaborate with various departments to create and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage and supervise the payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Review and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, including federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related discrepancies and provide necessary reports.
Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
Your progressive experience includes:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization.
In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and strong analytical skills.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
