IT systems Administrator

TreowGroup, on behalf of our Niagara-based client, is seeking an IT systems Administrator.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will provide high-level desktop, network, and point-of-sale system support. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where technology is at the heart of delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: On-site in Niagara
Compensation: $60K - $75K + incentives + RRSP + health benefits + company discounts

In this role you will:
  • Work with the IT team to maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, servers, and software.
  • Maintain network security, data storage, and regular backups, while following disaster recovery protocols.
  • Perform server administration tasks (e.g., user/group administration, security permissions, group policies).
  • Monitor and address hardware issues, maintain servers, and ensure optimal system performance and uptime.
  • Support internal infrastructure (laptops, desktops, routers, firewalls, phones, printers, and more).
  • Provide anti-virus management and Windows updates.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, computers, and servers.
  • Track and resolve issues through the IT ServiceDesk system.
What you bring:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Data Communications, or Information Security.
  • 3+ years of experience with Cisco IOS (Routing, VLANs & QoS), Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server (2012R2, 2016, 2019), Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Office 365, and more.
  • Experience with SonicWall Firewalls, Mitel Telephony, and Veeam Backup.
  • Strong troubleshooting and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.
Preferred Certifications include:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA Network+ or A+
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
